My hosts recommended the crispy hake and when we asked if it could come without a meat sauce they provided it with champ and delicious veg. An excellent lunch and first class service.

Had lunch here and it was really good. Plenty of choice and very reasonably priced considering portion sizes. I went for the Seafood Chowder which was beautiful. Really tasty and very filling. Great spot!

Dropped into The John Hewitt in a cold day in November to be welcomed by a warm ( gas ) fire and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Seemed to be populated by genuine, nice people having a civilised drink and matter.

A lot of pubs were shut on Tuesday evening in Belfast but this place was open and we were able to sit and chat with live music as a background. Coolio!
