We were really looking forward to having a nice walk with our dog round the country park but we had to cut our walk short because of the amount of dog owners who didn't and wouldn't put their dogs on a lead even when asked...More

It is a wonderful climb, but well worth it to the top of Cave Hill. It is known locally as Napoleon's Nose as the outline looks as if he is laying down. On a clear day, ie no low cloud, the view is just wonderful,...More

I used to run this hill on a regular basis when I was younger, its still an excellent workout to walk, great views from the top and coffee and cake in castle cafe at the end of the walk.

This is a truly exceptional walking experience and the views over the city are breathtaking. What a wonderful way to walk off the excess calories after Christmas!! It is suitable for everyone of varying fitness levels. Highly recommend to all.

Nice walking trail, you can climb to the top and get views of the city and Belfast Castle. Can get really windy though so layer up.

A good steep uphill walk from Belfast Castle but worth it for the amazing views and scenery. A must for anyone visiting the city and also great walking territory for serious and casual walkers. You have to be reasonably fit to get to the top...More

Visited Cave Hill in August 16. It was a beautiful sunny day. Took us about an hour to walk to top from Belfast Castle but view was definitely worth it. Would highly recommend it (but take a bottle of water!!)

Worth the steep walk up (resting places en route). If it's a warm day, take water and a picnic and spend time at the top drinking in the wonderful views. Close to Nature and close to the City. But stay on the paths. Cliff edges...More

Visited twice over recent Christmas holidays with my husband and dog. Fairly good weather both days so had a lovely dry fresh walk. A bit muddy in places but generally good paths. Plenty of big open areas for the dog to run and ramble. The...More

While doable, I don't think it is worth the headache. It's a steep walk and not always smooth underfoot. Sturdy shoes, drinking water, and back up waterproofs if the weather changes is what you should be considering.
