I attended a wedding reception in Belfast Castle and had a great night. It's a stunning venue with a great view over Belfast. The food was excellent and it provided a great atmosphere. I intend to go back for a better look at the castle, but from what I have previously seen, I'm very much looking forward to it

Belfast Castle is a landmark and is nestled in the beautiful Cavehill in the shadow of another real landmark...Napoleon's Nose. The castle is some 400ft above sea level & was built in 1862 by the Marquis of Donegal. John Lanyon was the architect & the castle was completed in 1870 & went considerably over the estimated £11,000 budget. When the... More

Lived just down the road so when I'm visiting home I love to stop by the castle after a lovely walk of the grounds. Had the pleasure of showing the castle to a friend who was visiting Belfast with me from the UK. The day was fantastic spent some time walking around the gardens and taking in the breath taking... If you do have a car it is nice to take a drive up to see it.Parking is free. The castle is also free.Nice to have a walk around the garden downstairs but the castle inside itself is not that great.

Love this walk. Step but worth it. Something to push you on up the hill is the view near the top, oh and the walk back down lol. Must do if visiting Belfast.

The castle and grounds are pretty enough but you can see better examples pretty much all over the UK. I wouldn't go just to see the castle. However if you make a day out of it, the nearby park has great hiking and even better views. There is a great adventure playground for kids (costs a few pounds). Perfect way... More

I'll try and keep this brief. This place is without doubt one of the jewels in Belfasts crown. The grounds, building, parks etc are outstanding and as such the catering and service should reflect this. In short it doesn't come close. I have been coming to this venue for a long time but my recent visit and subsequent "customer service"... More

Firstly, the castle & country park are a jewel in (North) Belfast's crown. My diasapointment is with the Tavern bistro, within The Cellar restaurant in the castles basement! We called Today for a quick lunch after a nice walk in the grounds. Quite busy, plenty of tourists & locals alike. Both being a little let down with the service!! The... More
