During our short visit to Belfast in Feb 2017, we got to visit a few Irish pubs and the Duke of York is my favourite! We went on a Friday night so it was packed, drinks are reasonably priced and there was live music that night. Very friendly people and atmosphere. Will definitely go there again next time I'm in... Had a brilliant night in here! The atmosphere was amazing, and there was live music on. The bouncers were friendly too which was a bonus!

2nd time in Belfast and I always end up here, I love this pub. Always go in for 1 drink and end up after 4 or 5 :-) prices are reasonable for Belfast and the staff are friendly. Went in on the 21st and 22nd (sorry for the drunk lady in the 22nd, we'd never met her before but she... More

Duke of York is fantastic bar. Great atmosphere . It's my pub of choice to chill out and to meet friends.the doormen are hilarious. Great characters and v helpful. This bar is the best in Ireland. I've been coming here since early 1980s when Belfast was a ghost town. It hasn't lost its homely feel and terrific Irish buzz. Everyone... More

Not often I'm speechless, on entering this pub I can easily claim such lack of voice. I've been in hundreds of pubs throughout the uk, Europe and the USA. This is the first that took my breath away. I simply walked around looking at the beautiful mirrors, artwork and promotional items from decades and centuries past. Display cabinets full of... More

Had to wait for a seat as very busy but well worth it. Drinks a little expensive. Good live music. Seems to have a lot of locals which helps. Staff very friendly

Went to the Duke of York on Saturday night with friends. When we arrived the doorman asked if we would like to go upstairs where the live music was. It was fantastic, everyone singing and dancing and gave that feeling of a traditional Irish pub! Everyone friendly and welcoming

Very lively on a Saturday night, lovely friendly atmosphere. The murals in the alley opposite the pub were also fantastic. Highly recommended

My Friend & I visited here on Sunday 15th Jan'17 & what a lovely Bar. The Interior is beautiful and very interesting, loads of different Whiskies some of them quite rare, so pretty much more expensive obviously thats because they so rare. There were 2 guys playing the Fiddle & Guitar. Even the Barman ( owner, i think, ) came... More
