The Lyric Theatre is Northern Ireland's full-time producing theatre. The new theatre opened in May 2011 to great critical acclaim. The award winning building is built in traditional Belfast red brick, glass and iroko wood and the cafe bar offer beautiful views over the River Lagan and Stranmillis Embankment. The theatre is open seven days a week with performances usually running in the evenings from Tuesday through to Saturday and matinees on Saturday and Sundays. Contact our box office for more details or check online under "What's On". Our cafe serves coffee/tea and light lunches and is open every day. A brunch menu is available on Sunday mornings. As well theatrical productions, we also offer backstage tours, a programme of theatre school and professional learning and corporate hospitality. Pre-theatre dining is available on Friday and Saturday evenings. Free Wifi is availble

I've been to the Lyric many times and will always come back. It's a wonderful, modern venue which offers a variety of different plays and shows, usually for very affordable prices. The cafe is a nice little area, the wine is nice and I actually...More

Brilliant venue. The artwork of local acting heroes is stunning. The adaption of the original work was hilarious. Pity the local Malone lot did not get the irony of the show as there was no response from some of those around us. The Lyric is...More

Fabulous place for drinks before you enter the theatrical world. I have been several times this year and productions have never disappointed. It is a really good, different night out and good atmosphere both before and after for drinks.

I loved the set, and the large audience really enjoyed the play. The writing was clever, with pithy literary allusions, excellent casting and superb performances, as well as perfect pacing. A thoroughly enjoyable, thought provoking, fun, evening.

My wife had her 2 wing mirrors kicked off her car when parked on the embankment for a night at the theatre so that was a costly night out. Suppose it's park @ your own risk.
