These narow 16th & 17th century conduits are at the heart of Belfast and lad you to some of the oldest bars in the City. For example White's Tavern (professed to be the oldest in the City) is on Winecellar entry. There is also Joys Entry, Crown Entry and Pottingers Entry, among others. They are good shortcuts between High Street and Ann Street. Commerical Court (Home of Duke of York and The Dark Horse) is a kind of entry between Donegall and Hill Streets. They are very atmospheric places to walk and evocative of an earlier time.

There are several of these connective conduit streets that bridge major thoroughfares like High Street and Ann Street. They are basically short cuts from the 16th and 17th centuries, but have pubs and businesses on them. White's Tavern (the self-reported oldest pub in Belfast) is located on Winecellar Entry. Pottingers Entry is home to the Morning Star pub. Commercial Court off of Donegall Street is a kind of Entry. The names have changed over the years. For example Wilson's Court (between High and Ann Streets) is a particularly narrow entry and used to be called Gut Buster Entry. They are fun to walk down and imagine what much have gone on there 100s of years ago.

The Belfast Entries are as series of historic, narrow laneways in the centre of Belfast City.

Dating back as far as at least 1630 the area is known as the birthplace of Belfast.

There contain artwork, character and several Victorian & pre-Victorian pubs & bars and are completely fascinating.

These are alleys in the High Street area that once allowed the rapid passage of goods while now they are sought after places that mainly host pubs.
