Don't be put off by the little bar at the entrance, the fact that it looks like a student bar, nearly turned me away. But i am glad i stayed. The main hall, no fringes, plastic seats and garden tables and yet another student type looking bar... But the Jazz week festival band they had was simply awesome. It was... More

The black box is a wonderful place to see live music.Great atmosphere and a place that musicians appreciate playing in.I've been quite a few times now including a couple of performances at the brilliant corners jazz festival.Tonight's gig by the Joseph Leighton trio being a particular highlight ...just great!

Great insight on the different styles of work, information in to the process and influences on the various artists, presented in an engaging way. All in all a great 2 hour tour.

We were at a performance which included a bowl of chilli which was very good and excellent value at £6!! The Black Box is a great space for Belfast and puts on a vast array of entertainment for all ages and from all walks of life. Keep up the good work

If you want a trendy 'wine bar', fancy alco-pop type drinks, MTV on screens or plush surrounding, this is NOT the place! Thankfully it is an interesting bar selling various beers & ales from around the world (as well as some wines etc.). The artwork etc. on the walls are interesting conversation pieces and the music is modern and does... More

Stumbled across this place by accident looking for a place to get a pint before dinner. Ended up staying quite long and one pint became many more. Loved the beer selection and whilst the atmosphere was not the one of a normal pub or bar it was still very nice. Would definitely return.

My big criticism of the Cathedral Quarter is that a lot of the bars churn out rubbish beer from the usual big breweries (Diageo, Tennents, Bass etc.). The Green Room is a gem though. You'll get some toppers in here from either the rotating taps or the bottles/cans in the fridge serving serious beer like Mikkeller, Beavertown, Magic Rock, Kernel... More

We ended up here one night by accident. We met with friends for far too many drinks when one of our number suddenly realised he had tickets for him and his partner for a Kate Bush night. So nothing less would do than we all decided to go despite the fact that at least four of us did not have... More
