In the middle of the city adjoining a busy central square, the ruins are just that - a few lonely bits of wall with a couple of information boards. Don’t go to Swansea just to see them...

Happened to notice during our visit of the town centre for shopping. Really just ruins. Couple of information boards but not much else. But free.

The castle has been left to simply decay away. Not really a tourist site to visit, just a side note on one of swanseas centres busy shopping squares. You cant actually enter whats left of the castle as it is all locked up and with...More

No, I'm serious. What's left of the castle, (because the name is not quite fitting as it should be called castle-ruins), stands in the centre of the main market and very close the famous Wind Street, where you are most certainly going. It's nothing really,...More

If you are passing Swansea, spend 5 minutes passing Swansea Castle "Ruins". Barely one wall remains surrounded by a skyscraper and other buildings.

The Swansea Castle is a shame it's mostly in ruins the council should think about doing something with it IF they have the money. You can walk around it cost is free because only some of the wall are left.

The castle is almost completely destroyed. Not much more than a pile of stones remains. Only interesting to walk by if you are in town for shopping or other visits.

Worth a short 5-10 minute visit. Read the nearby plaques, then move on. The castle is in very poor condition. It is more of a dilapidated combination of walls. One cannot enter any building to view it.

A ruin in the middle of the city, worth a photo or two, but not much to see. There is a park across the street and the big drinking and eating streets run off.
