The park is well maintained and offers lots to do in a good location The botanical gardens are particularly good with their glasshouses and floral displays (just check opening hours)

We had a lovely time at the boating lake. Feeding the geese (ducks stayed in the pond so they were harder to feed) - you can buy feed from the activities hut. I particularly enjoyed paddling around the lake in a dragon shaped peddle boat....More

The gardens are amazing, with a large variety of flowers which were in full bloom. There are activity sheets you can pick up for the kids(spotting objects)
