We walked from Oxwich Bay to the castle (beware there are a lot of steep steps up and down in the wooded area). Lovely castle with things for kids to do in the exhibition. Well prepared information boards, good shop.

Was surprised that I had to pay to enter this place (£4), as this sort of thing is usually free. It’s basically an old ruin with a couple of signs to read. There are much better castles in South Wales.
Oxwich castle is slightly more recent than the medieval and Norman sites I normally go to, but it's a wonderful place with lots of character. It's not a huge place but I found the history interesting and the illustration panels brought the place to life....More
