Roath Park is a lovely place to go and visit, can be limited parking around the lake in very busy periods- and the park does have some very busy periods, but parking is free (one side of the lake and gardens is free, the other side has yellow lines on most of it and they are watched. Great for walking,... More

Lovely big city park with lots to see and do as you can have a walk round the lake and the flower beds and there is a children's play area and there is also a wild garden and a conservatory here and a cafe and ice cream kiosks. The beauty of this park is its so big that if you... More

We visited Roath Park for the afternoon and had a great time. The lake is lovely for a walk looking at the swans and ducks and other water fowl. They also have a conservatory with a big fish pond stocked with huge carp and terrapins and amazing tropical plants. There's a café for coffee and an ice-cream van and shop... More

My family often take a quick walk around Roath Park on a Sunday afternoon, and sometimes it is quite enjoyable. However, it would not be my first choice of activity, as it is a little run-down, and there are many areas of improvement. I like to think that the park is in two halves; the lake and the gardens. The... More

Took my daughter and nephews here last Friday for a few hours, we walked around the lake, had ice cream and played at the park. A lovely clean place to while away a few hours and relax.

So pretty in the summer! Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed going to a pedlo in the lake - great way to spend the weekend!

I live nearby and I love this park. The boating lake is great in the summer. There's a kids play area, flower garden and a conservatory with tropical flora and fauna. Well worth a visit on a nice day.

Have visited Roath Park regularly for a walk around the lake and have found the new toilet block facilities to be below par. When first constructed they were fine but for over a year I have noticed that only two out of the four toilets are usable. The first toilet on entry has a faulty lock mechanism and the last... More

Roath Park is a beautiful and interesting place to spend time. When one has walked right around the lake and seen the ducks and the swans, there is still the rose gardens and the conservatory to see. It is really lovely, interesting place.

Nothing can beat a walk around the lake on a sunny day winter or summer! Grab a drink from the cafe and sit in bliss by the water.
