A large cemetery with some fantastic architecture and some wonderfful stories surrounding some of the graves. It is worth getting a leaflet which tell the stories. It is also a haven for wild life

Came here on my bicycle for some headspace. The cemetery is dotted with a range of beautiful trees varying with colour; coming on a sunny spring day especially emphasised this. Large cemetery that has a very natural feel to it with some areas seeming untouched...More

A historical brief insight to Cardiff's past. Vast area, a little bit creepy, but if that is your thing than take a walk.

A peaceful and beautiful area in a busy part of Cardiff, with a maze of paths leading you through a century of gravestones and trees. If you wander around the older parts you can find a memorial to French sailors, a memorial of the Irish...More

150 years of Cardiff's story lie here, in an expanse of land that is surprisingly tranquil and to a lad brought up in Cathays that was rare. Tours are organised explaining the history and the famous 'residents' and these evening walks are well spoken about....More

I used to live near here and was always surprised by the peacefulness so near to main roads. There were some really interesting leaflets giving thematic trails - for example famous people and masonic insignia.

Rather peculiar to have a cemetery listed, but yes I have visited this cemetery several times. Not sure what I can say, some of the headstones date back over a hundred years. There is a chapel building - quite historic.

I'm unable to expand my views on this beautifully kept cemetery, as I only go there once a year to place flowers on my grandmothers grave, only to say it's peaceful, well kept, and a fitting resting place, for my wonderful "Nana"
