We often park on the barrage and then walk over to the bay (get there early morning is advisable, especially on a sunny day). It's a scenic walk which is very much a straight line to the bay, so you can't get lost either. Plenty...More

A good 1.5 mile walk from Mermaid Quay out along the (often windy) barrage footpath brings you to the barrage locks - great sea views and wonderful engineering - especially great if you get to see one of the huge locks operate. Child friendly playground...More

We walked the Taff Trail to the barrage and it was well worth it! Make sure you go to Mermaid Quay and have a drink, the people watching is really fun!!
