Description:

This superbly restored gentry manor house is no ordinary heritage...

This superbly restored gentry manor house is no ordinary heritage attraction. History here is tangible. The costumed servants of the house are living and working in 1645 and allow you to share and engage in their world. Fires crackle, candles flicker and the sounds and smells of domestic life make your visit a memorable experience of the past. It takes a moment to attune your ear to the unfamiliar speech within the Manor itself, but within seconds of your warm welcome you become immersed in the time of the Civil Wars and the cares and concerns of ordinary people living in extraordinary times.

Booked the Sunday carvery for a party of 13 (my granddaughter gave me a cuddly tiger made it up to 14!). Very friendly greeting by all staff. Stepped in to help my 86 year old mother who has limited mobility. The drinks and starters ordered promptly. Excellent quality agreed by all. Carvery very generous and delicious and desserts were a... More

We visited yesterday. I booked a party of 20 for a tour and lunch for our local Parkinsons group. I had previously visited with family two weeks ago with family to check out the access to the Manor house for the tour for two people using wheelchairs . There is a lift available and we were told that people who... More

What a fantastic experience we were transported back to 1645 and the life and experiences at that time all staff was in full character and were very convincing and interacted with us all. Will return when there is a reenactment there

We have now been here twice. We think it is brilliant. Our daughter who wasn't aged 10 on the first visit hated it as being a 'childa' she had to sit on the floor! We found this very amusing, All of the staff are very knowledgeable and speak 'of the time' which is really clever. My husband loved being welcome... More

Living not too far from Llancaich, we visit a few times a year. Its an extremely interesting place, with "guides" positioned inside the house. All are dressed in period costume, and use the language likely to have been used around the time of Colonel Pritchard, the houses main owner. In the summer, the gardens are lovely, though not very large,... More

Delightful old Tudor Manor house where the guides dress (& talk) in Tudor dress. Quite a few steep steps but there is a lift which can take 2 persons. Plenty of places to sit & take the weight off your feet!! Lovely cafe/restaurant & shop.
