More
The Museum tells the fascinating story of four of the British army's most famous regiments. This long history, dating back to the 1680s, is told through many kinds of objects including uniforms, medals, weapons and models. The regiments have seen action in many prominent events, including the British campaign in South Africa (visit us and discover what really happened in the 1879 Zulu War!), And both world wars. Forty-three of the regiments' soldiers have received the Victoria Cross, and we commemorate their sacrifice and heroism as well as that of all the men and women associated with our regiments who have contributed so much to our country.

Great collection of Military artefacts. Basically in four separate rooms, it talked-about an HR going round reading the information on display. The guys who fought for our freedom, everyone a true hero. We owe them so much!! Will never forget the sacrifice they made....

All on the ground floor, lots of letters home from the front showing the viewpoint so often unseen. Short films to watch and helpful staff.

There's a good mix of equipment and intepretation here. Many smaller regimental museums go one of the two ways and lose something as a result. The emphasis is clearly on Rorke's Drift and this seems to be the only place you can find out so...More

Well worth a visit. Not too big so does not take long if you are short of time but plenty of information if you want to take in more. Well worth the visit.
