Currently closed while it is converted to an Arts Centre. Market stall holders have been re-located around town. Was always a dim and dreary place to visit as it was badly in need of a revamp.

This market is a shadow of its predecessors, with an air of seediness and neglect. Many of the stalls are unlet, the stairwells stink of urine and the whole place is generally unwelcoming. The local Council want to turn this into a modern "arts centre"...More

I felt really sorry for the traders having to operate in such a depressing market. Other covered markets have a vibrancy and energy about them. Lots of empty pitches - it seemed. Couldn't wait to get out. Perhaps typical of the demise of Wrexham town...More
