I visited this castle and it's a pleasant walk through the woods to reach it. You can climb the tower which is the only significant part left to get great views of the surrounding valley. It's free to enter too.

It offers spectacular views from the top. Located just 10 min walk away from the Snowdon Mountain Railway station.

If you are going to visit the area then this is well worth a walk up the hill to take in the history of the area not a castle but a keep from the 12th century great views

Is is a well maintained site with good information board's giving the background and history of the castle. It also gives great views of the surrounding area.
