We did this route today. First walked up to the col between tryfan and glider fach. Then did a right hand turn and went up the very steep scree path up. Half way up we hit the thick cloud and that was the last time...More

We came here on a misty day in August and it made the view all the more dramatic. We had a lovely walk around, partially up one of the mountains (Tryfan we believe). The tops of the mountains look like they could be volcano's with...More

We happened to have amazingly clear weather when we visited. Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach are stunning with their broken tops, it looks so other worldly. Definitely mountains worth scaling.

Returned here as had to abort last time due to bad weather. Unless you have done this and know the routes, its probably one to avoid if new to hiking or bad weather (visibility). You can walk up Snowdon in poor weather and not really...More

With lots of routes up and down this truly is a naturally remarkable place to visit. It’s absolutely stunning and you can loose yourself in this magical place with amazing views too. It’s a must do on your list....

We intended to do Glyder Fawr, across to Glyder Fach and then Tryfan from Idwal cottage. There is not that much online for routes etc, compared to Snowdon, so we wanted to do something different. We have done many others including Ben Nevis and Snowdon...More

Great walk from Idwal Cottage up Devils Kitchen to the Glyderau Peaks, and then returning via Tryfan. Fantastic views and challenging walking in some places (especially Tryfan which has a lot of scrambling on it).

This walk is absolutely stunning, the valley, the lakes and the mountains surrounding it are all beautiful! It's a very easy walk until you reach the rocks which involves more of a rock climb, definitely one for those who are adventurous! But still doable &...More
