    Gushing waterfalls
Amazing waterfalls, a short walk up from the car park (free) there is a path that takes up to the top, a lot of water due to the weather we'd had so can be a little slippy 😂 but well worth it. We then walked to the opposite end of Lake Vryrny to the Dam which was impressive!!! We had left one car in the car park there too, to make it easy for us.

    Great day out
Easy place to get to, great car park and lovely walk up to the waterfall. You can climb virtually to the top and the scenery is breath taking, it was a shame it was a grey cloudy day but the photos don’t justify the beauty of nature. The noise of the water cascading over the rocks with the beautiful landscape opening up such a treat. Highly recommend this venue

    Lovely 6-7 drop waterfall.
Lovely 6-7 drop waterfall near Lake Vyrnwy in Snowdonia North Wales. The car park is free, no facilities and spacious. The walk to the falls is not that far on an easy to follow path. Picnic table & seating near the base, to get closer to the falls you have to cross the water via stepping stones, trekking poles help here keeping stability. You can the climb up the left hand side of the falls, be careful a bit slippery and marshy ground in places with some very minor scrambling as you get higher. Afterwards back around the lake to visit the old dam, parking here around £2 - £4 toilets & cafes around this area.

After a somewhat average experience at the Pistyll falls we took a trip back to lake Vrynwy the next day to visit this place. Unlike Pistyll the car park is free and spacious and free of commercialisation and a rude greedy landowner. It's also much easier to get to via the Pen-y-bont-fawr route and the surrounding scenery is absolutely stunning. Walk to the falls is relatively easy over slightly undulating land and takes about 30 minutes. The falls are cascading rather than straight down but appear almost as high as Pistyll and in my opinion are more interesting. Also drove around the entire lake which was practically deserted and totally stunning. Do yourself a favour, go here rather than the wallet emptying scam that is Pistyll.

Saw this on a map and wondered what it may be like, the road there was very narrow. However when you get there there is plenty of parking and then there is a 20 min country side walk to get to the falls. It had been very hot and dry for a while when we went so they were probably not as spectacular as they could be. I paddled.in one of the pools which was a bit of a scramble to get there. To get up to the higher pools you need to be fairly fit no good for pushchairs or walking sticks. I would not go back but it was a nice walk after a long drive.

It's a great area to visit and going to see this waterfall was worth the shortish trek. The car park is not huge but free . We were lucky the waterfall was in good flow . Despite slipping into the water it was a great experience. On that note wear good walking boots

Great walk, not easy. 1st challenge is to cross the water, if that's too tough, then the walk to the top will be harder.
Visited after heavy rain, the water flow was strong.
Great experience, absolutely recommend

Really lovely waterfall. Easy to walk to from the car park and the view gets more stunning as you walk up the river towards the falls. If you’re feeling braver - and wearing decent footwear - you can climb up the side of the falls to get right up close. If you’re up to it I’d strongly recommend you do

A little gem hidden at the far end of the lake. Walked from the car park on the grassy, hilly route, came back along the gravel path. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful. Recommend going early before the car park gets too full. Probably more spectacular after heavy rainfall.

It's a good 15 mins walk to this waterfall from the small car park but worth it. It's signposted by a green symbol. Make sure you bring water as it a semi hiking trail. If you are visiting lake Vyrnwy you must visit. Its about 15 mins drive from the Vyrnwy visitor centre by car or you can hire a bike and enjoy the great outdoors. Also make sure you have a map as my phone didn't work there!

We visited on a cold crisp winters day when neither the ground or the waterfall fully defrosted. The mile walk from the car park is pretty easy and well worth it as the partially frozen waterfall is a thing of beauty. I’d go so far as to say with the sun shining, no leaves on the trees and plenty of water flowing it couldn’t look better even at the height of Summer. If your in the area it’s a must see and don’t forget your camera.

100% worth visiting - just make sure you have sturdy waterproof shoes and sanitiser available! If you have dogs even better - in most places it’s safe for them to be off the lead but in some places where the sheep are about best to keep them on the lead.

The streams are so wonderful and our dogs loved playing in them!

This is listed as Snowdonia but is actually at the end of Lake Vyrnwy Llanwddyn. The falls are accessed through the car park and following the river away from the car park. You can walk either side, we followed the left hand bank, on the right there is a much better path. Once at the falls you must cross the river, easy if it has not rained much as there are suitable rocks that act as stepping stones.
If you want to climb the falls make sure you have robust footwear as it is not an easy climb for novices (Like us!!) We never quite made it to the top but the feeling of achievment just getting so high was amazing and is really worth putting the effort in. The descent was a bit harder and included a bit of 'on ya bum' bouncing but with care it is not that bad.
Fabulous waterfall in an amazing location
