We didn’t venture too far but crossing the aqueduct is quite safe if you have a head for heights. It would be great to spend more time and venture further.

Lovely walk along the tow path through great scenery. Barges pass by with some being horse drawn. Lovely canal-side cottages and gardens. You can walk as far as you like.

This canal has wonderful countryside around and some of the best canal sights in the world especially the aqueducts. For the walker they would be impressed and could never get bored.

You literally just turn up and walk, it's a public footpath!! Turn around and go back whenever you like. There's pubs and cafes at both ends.
