Started off at Trevor basin, there’s a free car park next to it and toilets. We set off walking along the aqueduct ( which was amazing, never visited before !!) and kept following the canal until we came to a boat that sold sweets and...More

First time crossing the aquaduct and it is as stunning as we expected. Having crossed it is worth walking down the valley to cross the Dee on the road bridge to get a view from below. We were annoyed to have followed the car park...More

Great, peaceful, historic walk. Family friendly pubs en route. Spectacular views along the whole walk, but especially from the aquaduct. Horse drawn boats, steam railway and a motor museum add to the experience.

Done this walk through all the seasons, and each season there is something different. This is a gentle walk about 3 km.

Lovely walk along the canal. Lots of bird life including a few madarin female ducks. path is good and it was very clean. Lots of seats along the way to rest on. We parked at Trefor and caught a bus to Llangollen and walked back

Whether atop Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, in Llangollen town or near Horseshoe Falls, such a beautiful and relaxing walk. Watch the horse-drawn barges, marvel at the Eistedfodd site, listen to the nearby Steam railway. And then finish at the Canal Cafe.

After our trip on Jones the Boats and a walk out onto the aqueduct we decided to go along the footpath to the “viewing point” for the aqueduct. However the view from there was restricted by trees so would have been better view when trees...More

Well worth a visit. The Aqueduct besides being an engineering feat is set in a beautiful scenic area with the river Dee flowing under it. You can walk across or take a canal boat.

You literally just turn up and walk, it's a public footpath!! Turn around and go back whenever you like. There's pubs and cafes at both ends.
