The island mountain rises to a height of 167 meters and the whole island has a surface area of 180 hectares, most of which is farmland. A round trip of 230 miles in one day was certainly worth the effort. Colin knew my grandson James and I were making this trip especially to see the puffins, so we were blessed with calm sea and absolutely blue sky for our visit on Sunday. All the birds were ready to give their best performance when the boat eased... More

Superb day. We went over on our boat with our three very well behaved Labradors. We have always gone ashore in a dingy and let our dogs have a little run around on the shore below high tide. We don't leave any mess and then usualy return straight away back to the boat. Today it was so nice we tied... More

Thank you for leaving a review and it's wonderful to hear you return to the island so regularly which obviously has such an important place in your family's history. As Bardsey is a SSSI and a National Nature Reserve, dogs are not allowed on the island aside from residents' dogs, which have permission from Natural Resources Wales. This is to... More

Have just come back from a wonderful and amazing week with my family. We stayed at Ty Nesaf. This is a Heaven on Earth with beautiful, mountain, landscape views, amazing lighthouse and nature. Weather was excellent, crossing boat with captain Colin was also great experience especial for our children. People who reside over there and people who work there are... More

Pick yourself a decent day and book in advance with the Bardsey Island boat trip. There is a free car park 10 minutes walk from the slipway at Porth Meudwy, post code LL53 8DA. The island is mainly flat with good walking paths but there is a climb to the summit of Mynydd Enlli. The island has a very interesting historical... More

Have just come back from A few days volunteering on Enlli. The houses are full of character and charm and the residents are lovely. We stayed in Carreg Bach which has amazing views over the sea. Had the best time. Excited to go back.

Walked most of the island, including the top of Bardsey mountain...what views. Back to the harbour with 45mins to spare before Colin picked us up, were entertained by dozens of seals and their pups. Thought it was quite expensive to cross but worth every penny.

small cottage with crogloft bedroom. steep ladder to low ceiling loft.Amazing view over the Irish Sea, stunning sunsets. Small compact kitchen with everything you need. Not the best place to stay if you are unsteady on your feet or VERY tall! Outside composting toilet, no bathroom or electricity. Great place to get away from it all, no wifi, tv etc.... More

What an amazing trip! A massive `thank you` to Colin Evans for a fantastic crossing, a real larger than life character and great fun. Made my wife`s day as he carried her to the shore! When visiting North Wales this is one of the `must do` trips of the holiday. The island is quite amazing, no running water or electricity,... More
