A wonderful canal to walk along. The path is very generous for walkers & cycles. Beautiful scenery. We walked all the way to Chirk so went through the Chirk tunnel. Very dark so torch advised. Very safe as handrail all the way though tunnel.
I spent a lot of time on and around the canal when I visited - I kayaked on it the first day and had a lovely long walk along the canal paths on the second day. Its beautiful and lots of interesting things to see...More
Started walking the canal at the Horseshoe Falls. A lovely walk on excellent towpath. The canal is itself is well maintained but unlike other canals the banks are concrete all the way and both sides. No weed areas! Good easy walking

We visited the canal whilst in the area and made the perilous walk across the aqueduct. Only joking, it isn't perilous but if you don't like heights, it may not be for you . It is very high and the views are fantastic all around....More

Had a lovely long weekend on the canal, Autumn is a great time to visit. Cooler but less crowded with boats. If you’re new to narrow boating then this stretch is ideal. No lock but easy reach to the aqueduct.
Absolutly lovely canal.Can imagine in the Summer it must be hectic but this time of the year was great with the leave just starting to turn.
The Corn Mill in LLangollen was great with the River Dee thundering right by.
