A wonderful canal to walk along. The path is very generous for walkers & cycles. Beautiful scenery. We walked all the way to Chirk so went through the Chirk tunnel. Very dark so torch advised. Very safe as handrail all the way though tunnel.

Started walking the canal at the Horseshoe Falls. A lovely walk on excellent towpath. The canal is itself is well maintained but unlike other canals the banks are concrete all the way and both sides. No weed areas! Good easy walking

We visited the canal whilst in the area and made the perilous walk across the aqueduct. Only joking, it isn't perilous but if you don't like heights, it may not be for you . It is very high and the views are fantastic all around....More

For me this excursion was too long and and not particularly interesting. The canal boats are not comfortable.

We had a great time on the canal, and as there had been a collapse further up the canal waterway the Llangollen Canal was not as busy for August as it would normally be, which was great for us. The basin for mooring up was...More

Had a lovely long weekend on the canal, Autumn is a great time to visit. Cooler but less crowded with boats. If you’re new to narrow boating then this stretch is ideal. No lock but easy reach to the aqueduct.
