Not only the Gates were interesting but also Caernarfon Castle, the Royal Welsh Sailing Club, Church of Eglwys, Waterside Victoria Docks, Hole in the Wall Street to name a few. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Caernarfon Town.

Well preserved and still present in many places. Cannot walk on the ramparts (unlike Chester) but still lots of interesting parts.

A truly lovely walk can be had, around the walls of Caernarfon, but give yourself time to take in everything you can see. Very photogenic. Highly recommended.

We live outside caernarfon but every time we go into caernarfon it the walls take my breath away. I love walking around them soaking up the atmosphere,and the history of the place.....wonderful...something I will never tire of doing

Impressive with very narrow gates especially if you are towing a caravan. .Compact and showing what an outpost of empire look like in Edward I day.

I guess like most towns around the country the high street is suffering, Caenarfon has the attraction of the castle and within the castle wall's are the nice little streets with bistro's cafe's and little gift shops to lure in the tourist. It's a shame...More

Small businesses and restaurants have occupied the interior of the castle wall and created a special atmosphere. A fun place of the younger crowd to hang out in the evening.

Yes, on some parts. You can also climb some of the towers (tight worn curly stair cases - as you'd expect in a castle of this age)...but bear in mind it's not for the faint hearted...I did it with a determined 3 year old... More

As with all other public places, dogs need to be on a leash with usual restrictions on shops/cafes etc
