For free the castle was nice to walk around and explore, not massive but worth a visit if in the area, some nice views.

To sit here and watch the sea, the people walking by and the beautiful views, on a chilly but crisp February day was magical.

I enjoyed strolling around the gardens and over the top to sit in the sunshine overlooking Cardigan Bay. Lucky to spot dolphins too.

The castle or what is left of it , is still in good condition, surrounded by grass and tarmac walkways. Quite a bit of the original tower is still in place. Good place to whils away some time.

Lovely views in the summer and all the grounds are very well kept, with a small playground around the back. However, there is little else to do, so wouldn’t stay here long only for a picnic or something.

Nice to be able to wander over the ruins and imagine the history of the place over the centuries. Great views over the bay.

The free to enter ruins are simply that. You will have to use your imagination to see how the castle was before it was destroyed. Steeped in history, there are signs to assist..but note they could do with a makeover to grab your full attention....More

Well worth a walk to the Castle. Its located up on the head with the War Memorial and has excellent views. Also there are plenty of walls to walk around and for the kids to climb. Also plenty of benches to sit on and admire...More

Although there isn’t much left of the castle itself, the history behind it is impeccable. There is a playgroup situated nearby and a windy path to guide you through the ruins. Not so nice in the cold but lovely on a sunny day!
