I visit Nant-yr-arian frequently as a local mountain biker and often stop in at the cafe if I'm there at the weekend. The cake is already really good and they do a nice espresso. When it's sunny it's really nice to sit outside and watch the garden birds (or the kites if you time your visit with feeding time), it... More

We stop off here every time we visit Aberystwyth. A beautiful setting in mid wales, this place offers fantastic walks, activities for the kids, a cafe, tourist information and plenty of opportunities to spot the red kite which makes this part of the world famous. Such a shame they had to cut down the trees which spoilt the landscape somewhat... More

Visited this lovely place for a spot of lunch which was delicious. They have a range of sandwiches, jacket potatoes and even cakes. We then took a stroll down the path around the lake which was surrounded by beautiful countryside hills. We paid for parking which was reasonable for what its worth. Around 2pm we watched as the Red Kites... More

It was lovely running the 5km and 10km trails through the woods in the evenings on the way home when working locally. The trails are well marked with plenty of ups and downs to keep the challenge if pushing hard. with lovely views at a more relaxed pace. I can't wait to be there again.

Pleasant staff and great food. The views from the balcony over the lake watching the red kites being fed are extraordinary. This is a not to miss occasion

I visited today for the first time after reading reviews on trip advisor. Well, it was well worth the visit, is all I can say. The red kites being fed at 2pm was an amazing and once in a lifetime opportunity. The cafe is great, all be it a bit small and the food was good. The kites swarm for... More

We have christened this place as our stop for refreshments and a picnic as it is just about the right place on our journey to stop. What a fantastic place it is we had a traditional lamb stew for lunch coming home from our short trip to Aberystwyth. It has a nice shop and restaurant as well as fab walks... More

The cafe is perched on a hill side overlooking a lake, valley and mixed woodland. You could be in Scotland, Canada or even New Zealand but it will probably rain whilst you are here at some point! This is only half a review because we did not brave the walk due a sudden downpour however as we arrived there was... More

Pass this place so many times but only recently went in when had family visiting with kids. Great place for a stop off coffee or a destination drive to. We took the kids to see the red kite feeding then had tea/coffee cake etc. Not as costly as I thought it was going to come in at. Nice cakes, great... More
