A good community pub serving decent beer, not cheap but well kept. Lively and great music generally on Saturday nights and Sunday late afternoons.

Very friendly landlord and quirky pub, good range of beer. Not tried the food yet but looked good! Nice to have a local like this just round the corner.

VERY well priced jamaican food and very tasty. Good portion sizes. get down and try it!!! .....and beer which just makes everything better

Have been many times with a pal who lives nearby, our first stop on the way into town. Very eclectic, a music pub but also does so much for the local community. Great real ale on offer, and always some fun chatting to the locals....More

The Chestnut is a great live music ale house, with a huge beer garden. It has a very eccentric landlord !
