Whilst the quality and atmosphere of the individual cabins was lovely, the sheer number of them was very small. Was just a handful of gift stalls and the remainder were food to eat there and then. There were lots of fairground rides so the children no doubt would enjoy it, but certainly not worth travelling a fair distance for (as... More

Having been to other Christmas markets, we thought we'd try Leeds, having heard it was meant to be big. Never again! It took longer to walk from behind Kirkgate market (where the coach dropped us off), to get to Millennium Square., than the time spent there. It was all food to eat(on the go), tree decorations, wooly hats &toys. No... More

The market has spread out a little from last year however it still feels a little cramped and claustrophobic. Most of it is wedged into the square and it doesn't take many people wandering about to make it crowded. It wasn't the most pleasant walk around with two young kids as constantly getting bumped and barged. It was Ok, but... More

There is a much greater variety of things to do other than only stalls like in Manchester, but it is nowhere near the size of the event there. I found Manchester very repetitive with what was on offer, Leeds had a more balanced, family friendly approach. Prices are astronomical, but it was nice to see the fairground rides, the walk-in... Travelled to Leeds for a family day out, thought we would visit the Christmas market as we hadn't been for a few years. We were sorely disappointed at the experience there was no atmosphere and the stalls lacked appeal. Would not visit again if it is going to be in the same place and have the same standard.

Very disappointing, not many stalls/huts, well over priced and same old boring stuff. The only thing that came anywhere near being German was the Bratwurst sausage, even that was under cooked and served by local people. I would never go back. Apologies for being so negative, but as markets go that one was bad.

After reading reviews of Leeds Christmas Market three of us paid for a train ticket and travelled over an hour to visit. What a let down, the market was only small and not at all what we expected. We were looking forward to lots more stalls. Wont be visiting here again
