The 24 acre Meanwood Valley Urban Farm has a variety of farm animals including alpacas, goats, sheep, pigs, hens, donkeys, and ducks. There are woodland walks, and a longer walk through our 5 acre coppice, where a variety of wildlife can be seen if you are very quiet. There is a small playground for children under 12 and you may want to take a break at the independently run Hungry Hedgehog Cafe which offers vegetarian options and facilities for warming baby food.We have our own car park and there is a Farm Shop with toys, gifts, plants and produce grown on the farm and fresh farm eggs.

Found this place by accident, but so glad we did. Lots to see and do. The kids especially loved the Teddy Bear sheep. Spent a morning here and will go again. Fab day.

A lovely afternoon in an attractive setting. Knowledgeable staff patiently answered lots of questions from the children and adults.

my nieces and nephews absolutely love this place and it comes in handy over the summer holidays as it is only 5 minutes drive from my house. the animals are always out of their cages in the summer and kids love that. there is enough land to have a picnic as well

This amazing resource has been succesful for over 20 years, managing to provide reasonable environmental opportunities and welfare for the citizens of Leeds. There is free parking, a lovely cafe and shop, garden plants, vegetables and eggs for sale. There is lovely land to walk on and animals to stroke. It is an excellent community resource run partly by volunteers... More

Stumbled on this place by accident really, but a gem of a find. Had a brilliant time there. It's not action packed and didn't have a great deal of animals but it had a great feeling to the place. Had a lovely walk and both kids aged 4 and 6 thoroughly loved all of it. It's a community farm and... More

I'm absolutely astounded reading other people's reviews of this place that they think it's great value for money. I really don't mean to be harsh and I do appreciate it's a charity based outfit but I actually felt ripped off paying the £4.50 charge for myself, my partner and my 3 year old. We were in and out within 25... More

I live just in front of the farm and think it's a great educational charity organisation. Obviously it's not a full day out because it's somewhat small, but taking young kids is great and they learn a lot about how the environment works

We visited here on Monday 30th January. I must say we were very disappointed. I appreciate that it didn't cost a lot to get in (£2 per adult and 50p per child) but I'd expected to see more than 5 goats, 3 alpacas and two sheep. There were no cows or chickens (if there were some, it was poorly signposted).... More
