My girlfriend is a lucky woman...I like the Stranglers. First saw them over 30 years ago in Edinburgh (the days indeed when Scottish teams other than the Ugly Sisters would win leagues, even Euro trophies, ah nostalgia!) and the chance to "catch up" with them in Leeds was too good to miss and, by chance, we had Peter Hook (think... We booked tickets to see Lower Than Atlantis and stood queueing for 70 mins waiting to collect our pre-paid tickets and then get in...a bloody disgrace and we missed the first band. Not a huge venue compared to many I have been to, but someone needs to shake these people up. The box office is a pathetic little booth not... More

A great place to see live live music. A very intimate setting. The prices at the bar are unjustifiable, over £5 for one vodka and coke that contained more ice than any other ingredient. This was my first visit to the O2 Academy, and I'll definitely return if my favourite artists are playing.

Went to the O2 academy for the first time for a concert and the venue is quite small, but it was a good atmosphere and we had a great night!

This is a great venue as it is quiet small, which gives you an intimate experience when seeing a band. The bars were very accessible meaning that queuing wasn't a problem. The exterior is impressive, especially at night when it is illuminated. I had a great time!

I have only visited the Academy once and I have to say that on the whole I would attend other gigs there. The academy is in a good location and is close to a 24 hour car park (but good luck with the nightmare traffic system), the staff were friendly and attentive to their duties, but I found the drinks... I've been going here for a number of years for a variety of gigs and it's a good venue for the right size band/crowd. I've decided to review this time around though as I'm sick of O2 Academy bars! Awful selection of usual bad lagers and beers. It's like being in a pub in the 90's, except now it cost... More

Seats were awful, very narrow seats tied together with tree ties, seats very hard and uncomfortable. O2 priority app being advertised was a complete waste of time. Drinks offer, once you had downloaded you had 2 mins and it expired, not enough time to be able to use it. What a joke! Priority entrance for O2 customers non existent. Bar,... More

I went to see Nathaniel Ratcliffe and the Night Sweats and I've never been to this venue before. It had a great feel and unlike the O2 in London it felt warmer and more intimate. Fantastic performance and the only thing I'd say is the drinks are expensive so either have plenty before you go or take plenty of cash!... More
