A nice place to come walk around the lake (tarn), see the dicks and swans and enjoy an ice cream,, sadly but not surprisingly (given its close to the runway), it does get interrupted by the noice of planes taking off and landing from LBA.

A public park with a lake which has a boat club using it. Close to Yeadon airport, with the runway only 200m away, good for plane spotters. A trail goes around the lake with good information at points of interest on wild life.

We haven’t been here for quite a while so, as it was a lovely day and we were close by, we popped in. It was pretty busy with people enjoying the sunshine, and the lake looked at its best. The wildflower meadow was also lovely...More

As newcomers to the area we have discovered the Tarn as a welcome exercise before or after dinner particularly when we are entertaining guests making their first visit. A delightful spot where we enjoyed a brass band concert one Sunday afternoon.

If you love a nice walk, nature water and plane spotting this is ideal, can get an ice cream, but no toilets 😚😂 if desperate can find a nice thick tree lined area 😂 my doggy loved it!!!

Great to walk around with the dog and family, good park for the kids to play on. Worth a wander around if you are in the area.

I Note with horror that one reviewer mentioned that they were flying their daughters drone at Yeadon Tarn. Whist not wanting to be a kill joy, this is an absolute NO NO so close to the airport and is against the Law. I fly model aeroplanes as a hobby, I am a member of the British Model Flying Association and pay to have 3rd party insurance. I only fly in areas designated as safe to fly. Leeds City Council Bye Laws also prohibit the flying of model aircraft in their Parks. If this was a small drone, it is not suitable for flying out of doors, loss of control of drones what ever size near full size aircraft could be catastrophic. We as responsible modeler are finding it hard enough to keep permissions for flying sites without giving authorities reasons to ban our sport. For legislation look at the web for dronesafe.uk/drone-code/ you could go to jail for five years if you do not comply.
