Although the existing Church is not the same as it was in the Bronte's time, the Bronte family crypt lies beneath this church and locals are very helpful in showing you its location. Stroll around the village too which has so many reminders of the Bronte family.

When the church was demolished and rebuilt after Patrick Bronte's death, they didn't reinstate the memorial to the family to exactly locate where they are buried. Ah well. Their books are a more fitting memorial. The church is just another neo-Gothic erection, but the stained glass has an interesting story to tell of village rivalry. Ask Johnnie Briggs of Bronte... Such a beautiful church steeped in history. Main Street is certainly worth a stroll down too. Cobbled streets and quirky shops.

We visited the Bronte Parsonage museum, so decided to visit the church where Patrick Bronte was the Curate. There is a chapel devoted to the Bronte's and plenty of staff on hand in the church to answer any questions.

Now refurbished the church is living history with the warmth of modern day ! The church where the Reverend Patrick Bronte preached with the parsonage(now a museum) . A peaceful calm place to contemplate your thoughts.

We've been here before but decided to take another look around. It's a beautiful church, inside and out. If you enjoy old churches, you'll find plenty to see here. There is, of course, the Bronte connection. The family, except Anne, are all buried in a vault under the Bronte Chapel. It was the Bronte sisters father, Patrick Bronte, who brought... More

Admire the stain glass windows day or night. I took the opportunity of making a small donation for the continued up keep of the church.
