wasn't sure what this was all about but its a small museum set over 3 floors ground floor shows remains of a roman bath uncovered on the site. a view of the cathedral from top floor. its free to visit with a donation . shop and small café.

This museum is very family friendly and most interesting - our grandchildren loved it and also enjoyed a "night at the museum" a few weeks later

a real local museum, small exhibits but all relevant to the area. When visited a good small work shop, 20+ mins; well put together exhibit on Admiral Murray a local resident who salied with Nelson - well worth an hr

As town museums go, this has to be one of the best. Lots of local history but told against world events so you get a real context of time and place. Set in a modern building the museum is very well laid out and a far cry from the motley collection of old junk you get at some other places.... More

Architecturally congratulatory, functionally bereft. Typically "Chichester"; Style over substance. I can see why the future of the Novium is under jeopardy due to the £800k a year running costs. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of fine resources here. It's just it could have been accomplished without costing more than a typical new school or mental health unit.... More

A nice little museum which on the ground floor starts off with the Roman era and then upstairs reflects more modern history of the area.

This is quite a small museum but gives a fascinating insight into the history of Chichester from pre-history, through Roman, Saxon and Norman invasions right up to modern times. A few hours well spent - especially as it is free to enter.

A great day out with the children we spent 2 hours here, lots of games, puzzles & even craft is set up for children, the staff are very pleasant too.

Lots of very interesting artifacts and exhibits. Plus many hands-on things for children to do. Sited over a Roman baths the excavation of which can be seen adjacent to the coffee and gift shop. This is now a free museum (donations welcomed).

Chichester is lively town, full of good shops, restaurants and a most amazing cathedral.The Novium Museum is a must as well as the theaters. Make sure to have their schedules.
