on a lovely day you can walk for miles... on certain days they have fun days but youll have to check.... some lovely canal boats....it just gets you away from all the hustle and bustle of the city centre

Very neglected area. Some small business which are doing their best to survive under Councils ridiculous rent charges. Should be a thriving place to take the family and for tourists but its neglected massively. There is actually an Art trail all along the canal which...More

Found this place by accident and was very disappointed to find nothing there but the only saviour was the cafe being open such a shame when you compare what Birmingham have done with their basin.

Well done to the group that saved this end of the line canal but there is nothing there. You might as well read about ir online. Even the Café was shut and this in the height of the season

Was here in oktober with a hire narrowboat. a beautifull moring place at a short distace from the city centre. Even if you just visit the city, iI would recomend to have a look at the Basin

Hi there, Yes there were boat rides advertised in the canal basin. Sadly it was closed on the Sunday we walked up the canal and there were no prices illustrated. Sorry xx

Depends where youre coming from. If from the north exit M6 at junction 3 and follow foleshill Rd down to canal basin. From south You'll have to use ring Rd and get off at Longford exit. Canal basin Just off ring Rd on... More

From what I can find out this used to be a pub in the canal basin with live music but is now permanently close (googled information). I just went to the cafe at the 'amenities' end of the basin.
