Celebrated as the UK's favourite 20th century building, Coventry Cathedral is known all over the world as a beautiful and unique venue. Designed by architect Sir Basil Spence following the bombing of the city in 1940 it was opened in 1962, and contains some of the finest examples of 1950's and 60's art and architecture in the country.

Within easy walk of the centre. It is worth the £6 entrance fee. The old cathedral shell can be viewed for free but a tour of its replacement should not be missed

This building has a lot of history and Coventry should not be visited without seeing the cathedral . The tour will take about half an hour and there are shops and places to eat near by

Can't believe I've lived in this area for almost 20 years and this was my first visit into the old cathedral area! So interesting. Loved all the statues and the history and the feeling of peace & restoration.
