Walking back from the Museum and Art Gallery, took time to admire the Victoria Square and the modern art installations - especially the stunning Floozie in the Jacuzzi at the top of the stone stairs. Well worth visiting, especially on a sunny day!

Victoria Square is exactly that, a square. Nothing exciting or thrilling to see here. If you made a special journey to see it...why !?!?!? It's easily reached from Colmore Row, New Street and Hill Street which all lead into it. The square has the Council...More

This is perhaps the oldest civic square in the city, and it affords a wonderful view of the frontage of the Council House. There aren't really any cafes in the square itself where you could linger, although there are a few on the edge of...More

Very busy when we visited due to the commonwealth games handover. Lots of civic buildings around make this an attractive area.

Yes, it is very touristy, cliche and overpriced, but it is still one of the best Christmas markets I have visited outside of central Europe. I loved trying all the hot drinks and typical treats, the atmosphere was simply magical with people singing and just...More

The market gets really busy in the evening, there's no entertainment for kids other than a merry go round near the church.

Snow hill car park is reasonable, it's less than a 5 minute walk to the German market
