In tribute to those who lost their lives in combat from World War I to present day, the interior of this somber memorial offers books with the names of the fallen, as well as impressive stained glass windows and skylights.

Thinking about sacrifice of others makes me feel both humbled and sad. Beautiful, tranquil space. A good place to pause and reflect.

Birmingham has such an eclectic vibe in the city center, it ranges from super modern to the old and historic. Hall of memory was an interesting structure to find while on an early morning walk. Good for those with an interest in history or architecture.
