We passed through here on a stroll around the city, and my 9 year old daughter's response was, "I don't like it here - it is too dirty!" There was oil floating on the surface of the water in many places and major collections of floating rubbish. Very disappointing.

Always a good place to visit when in the city, good bars and restaurants in this area, offering plenty of choice. Great in summer.

Catch a water bus and explore the industrial back waters of Birmingham which has more miles of canal than Venice.

This is a lovely area and you can safely walk around the canal area or sit in one of the pubs etc. and watch the world go by.

Little Venice - just less beautiful buildings to look at. You just don't expect to find this sort of thing in the middle of Brum. Loved strolling down here away from the hustle up above.

Very cosy , lovely and "warm" place. You should visit this street when you visit Birmingham. I think spring or summer period will be more interesting.

Visit the Mail Box and exit out the back to walk along the canal to the Gas Street Basin. The old canal side pub is a great favourite with me on the way to Brindley Place. Other way in is to walk through the ICC, cross the bridge and down to the towpath.
