Constructed in a neo-Gothic style, this impressive Portland Stone monument was erected in 1880 in commemoration of Joseph Chamberlain, one of the great 19th-century city politicians of Birmingham.

Another Birmingham attraction which is off limits due to all the building work . Shame really but hope the new pizza does justice to these grand monuments.

There's work being done in the square so it's closed off but the top of the memorial stands defiantly above the barricades. Clearly it's a piece of art. Must come again to have a better look.
