Wonderful buildings - designed by EW Emslie. Great station to visit. Dating back to 1909. In 1980 the station the station was refurbished in 1930s style, the station has reproduction lamps, clock, seating, and signage. Very well worth a visit.

...even if you are travelling nowhere on a train. The architecture is beautiful. It's in central Brum, so easy to find. Well maintained and a stark contrast to New Street. Plus you can get trains to London - what more could you want?!

Centrally located closed to New street station and the shopping malls. There are many cafes and restaurants at the station.

wonderful architecture, a proper old fashioned railway station well maintained, worth seeing it is central so worth using instead of New Street which is shiny and new but much busier

It is a pleasure to use this stunning little station which retains a lot of its original features and architecture. Compared with the ghastly New Street station, this one is a real pleasure to use. I would even recommend it as simply a place to visit, even if you don't intend to travel. Even the trains which use the station... More

My favourite urban view in all of England is the juxtaposition of the retro-styled platforms of Moor Street station with the ultra-modern, delicious weirdness of the Selfridge's building - especially at night. Designed by EW Emslie (as was the similarly delightful Great Malvern station) Moor Street has been enthusiastically and sensitively restored by Chiltern Railways, which runs dazzlingly good-value services... A much cheaper and easier option than Birmingham New Street to Euston. We booked before advance tickets with Chiltern Trains - very good value. We arrived had a great coffer at "Expresso", clean and free to use toilets. Boarded train and had seats and the journey was only slightly longer than the "Mainline Route" and Marylebone is so much easier... More
