We visited on Remembrance Day weekend, so the church was filled with an impressive display of over 65,000 poppies. However, it was the church building that I really loved and we will visit again to be able to really appreciate it. The building is very...More

I liked the church. The tower is visible from a distance away and is the thing that stood out. It is pretty near the castle and is worth a side visit if in the area.

My first visit to this splendid church which was wonderfully decorated with thousands of poppies, we were told 69,000 had been received. An incredible and atmospheric sight.

An incredibly moving array of poppy arrangements for the 100th anniversary of the First World War. A beautiful old church, respectfully decorated. Volunteers were obviously very proud of their church and were keen to offer help and information as and when we needed it. Well...More

I have never seen a church so intertwined with the community. The sheet number of poppies displayed was stunning. Compared to many large churches, this wasn't stuffy and formal in the slighest. We had a fantastic wander around, admiring all of the poppy displays.
