An interesting spot

An attractive monument depicting all 4 countries of Great Britain. A gift from an American. Stands in a square near the junction of roads and makes an interesting centre piece

A beautifully clean structure standing on one of the main streets in Stratford. Its a shame there was so much business nearby.

The fountain is near the Civic Hall which has been renamed the Starford Arts Centre so it would be silly not to go early for a show and take a look at the fountain. Not much to see except you've done it!

This is situated in the north end of town and we were very lucky as both days were market days when we were there. Friday for food and Saturday for antiques. The monument is made of sandstone and has really stood the test of time.

Actually quite a nice fountain but its normally surrounded by market stalls and is slightly out of the touristy route so gets missed.

Very Impressive historic stone fountain located close to the middle of town. Historical monument donated to Queen Victoria by an American businessman. That's all there is to say really!

The American Fountain is located in Rother Street which on Saturdays is the market place. It was donated to the town By William Childs a wealthy American who donated it on the jubillee of Queen Victoria. It stands around 25ft tall and is well kept with flowers .It is also one of the towns most promident clocks. Great for photo... More
