Excellent production of what can be a difficult play to stage given that it can turn into a gorefest. The bloody bits however were well balanced with farce and black humour to deliver an impressive performace that put ancient Rome in a modern context. One...More

We loved being able to attend a Shakespeare play here. The venue is handicap accessible, too. The play is definitely the thing!!

I suppose you either like Shakespeare or you don't but if you think you don't, you might surprise yourself. Live theatre is an enhanced experience anyway but the intimate setting of a relatively small theatre like this one makes everything come alive. I saw Titus...More

On 19.8.17 I visited the RSC with my 23 yr old daughter (she'd bought us both tickets as a present). It was fab. The production was excellent as were many of the cast (particularly Cassius). We had a fabulous afternoon and would really recommend it!

Recently watched Julius Caesar and Antony & Cleopatra at the RSC. Both excellent performances in a very intimate setting. Acoustics are great and the chance to be so close to the performance is fantastic. Venue is very clean with great facilities, cafe area would benefit...More

The show we went to isn't important on this review (although it was ace.) The thing that made our visit so good was the staff throughout the theatre. They were so friendly and welcoming. Well done to everyone. Really felt welcome.

We saw Julius Caesar the first evening and Anthony and Cleopatra the second evening. The actress playing Cleopatra was superb!

There is also a car park by the side of the Premier Inn Waterways by the side of the canal. As long as children supervised you can walk along tow path to RSC, about 15 mins walk.

In the main theatre, they do tip up, but the spring is not so strong that it will tip you up too! The seats are more comfortable and a bit more roomy than the Swan.
