There's nothing like the RSC. They make Shakespeare on stage so natural and often funny. My kids (8 and 11) really enjoyed the plays we saw.

Visited here last weekend for the Seth Lakeman gig. The box office and security teams were very efficient and organised. The theatre itself was beautiful, although smaller than I was expecting. Great location as it's only a short walk away from the main high street....More

OK, when in Stratford-upon-Avon, one must see a Shakespeare play. Admittedly, I was prepared for something that was good but what I got was EXCEPTIONAL! The theatre design, the minimalist staging and the superb acting was much more than I had expected. "Antony and Cleopatra"...More

Went to see Anthony and Cleopatra. My first time at live Shakespeare play and not really a drama type. But was totally transfixed throughout. Can't believe how much impact a small number of actors and minimal set can be so powerful. The theatre was also...More

The only play that run during our stay in Stratford-upon-Avon was Titus Andronicus (the bloodiest one). If I had a choice I would not choose it but I did not. We are so glad that we went to the play. The actors (especially Titus), the...More

We took the Behind the Scenes tour with our teenage daughters and they loved it! Our guide was funny, personable and very informative. An understudy was even practicing on stage during our tour. The wigs, the blood, the costumes - it was all terrific. We...More

It was heavy rain when we arrived in Stratford upon Avon so this was a great venue to enjoy cocktails in a comfy chair overlooking the river. Great cocktails, friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

There is also a car park by the side of the Premier Inn Waterways by the side of the canal. As long as children supervised you can walk along tow path to RSC, about 15 mins walk.

In the main theatre, they do tip up, but the spring is not so strong that it will tip you up too! The seats are more comfortable and a bit more roomy than the Swan.
