Small but interesting

We visited here as part of our attraction ticket. It's very small and doesn't take long to look around but we liked it and the architecture is very interesting.

If it were not owned by the influential Harvard University, perhaps this house would have been demolished long ago. It was the house where one of the early benefactors of Harvard University lived. Small and cramped, it gives a wonderful insight into living conditions of the prosperous merchant class of the time.

This is not a Shakespeare property – it was only open when we were there to make up for the fact that New Place and Nash’s House were both closed for restoration. We were the only ones there and a lady gave us a good introduction. The house was built in 1596 by Thomas Rogers and it’s one of the... More

The museum section will keep you enthralled and the house itself is a wonderful example of tudor architecture.

This is great and very educational for all ages. One ticket gets you into several of Shakespears attractions. Spent a nice hour looking around this interesting old place

Nice to read about the UK connection to Harvard University in my home country. Small house, nice to continue to understand the history of the time. Quiet visit, only a few couples there during my friend's and my visit.

There was a strong American theme here and for a good reason. Lots of helpful information from staff and very friendly. The home of the Harvard university founder. Definitely worth a visit for all the USA tourists.

If Harvard House has now been closed to the public, make sure you at least look at the elaborately carved facade in High Street near the corner of Sheep Street. Built in 1596 by a wealthy townsman, Thomas Rogers, after the Stratford fire of 1594. There was interesting historical information to read inside the house and it was fascinating to... More

We were granted free entry due to fact that another Shakespeare attraction was closed for refurbishment.
