With a artisan 👩‍🎨 drama 🎭 vibe, central statue on the banks of the Stratford canal. All of Shakespeare characters are represented here.

Little oasis of calm and a good sun trap on a sunny late afternoon or for a stroll along the basin and to sit and read or just watch the world go by. All presided over by the Bard himself, keeping guard!

Always lovely to be greeted by life size sculptures of Prince Hal, Hamlet, Lady Macbeth and Falstaff as you approach the RSC theatre. The gardens are always clean and well maintained. Charming canal boats and swans drifting on the Avon river.

Oh it was a lovely day and the flowers were in bloom when suddenly marching towards us we saw what looked like a mobile pastel floral bed. Nothing to be afraid of, it was Michael Portillo filming his latest TV series. Unexpected and memorable.

A lovely sunny and hot weekend so the park was in full swing. Lovely to see so many people about enjoying the area.
As a mobility scooter user I was a bit disappointed that the path didn't lead to the church but hey a small back track was easy enough to do.
The wheel was a fun activity and the barges selling ices creams - yum yum - a great touch. The layout on the bridges was good - supposedly keep to the left but maybe more signage needed to remind people to do that.
Park kept very neat and tidy - great place.

Situated at the edge of The River Avon , Bancroft Gardens are a credit to Stratford!
Admittedly it gets a lot of wear and tear from tourists, but the gardening team are first class, in maintaining these gardens to such a high standard.

Beautiful gardens for a stroll along the river. Lots of space to have a picnic, watch the boats go by or even take a boat trip down the river like we did taking in the church Shakespeare is buried and the big wheel on the riverside.
They have a lovely ice cream boat on the river, decent size too!
There is a park at the top of the river on the side on the big wheel. A small splash pad and lots for small and big kids.
They often have market stalls on at the other side of bank Croft gardens and family fun in the summer. It does tend to get busy too.
