I'm a blogger, and I visited the park with a budding photographer and two friends of ours who knew a bit of the history. It was so interesting seeing how an area could go from being a mine to a place of absolute natural beauty like that!

Post Parkrun coffee and cake. Not a great selection of cake but the scone was tip-top. Poor woman rushed off her feet with runners but she coped.

Lovely place to take the dog and the kids for a walk. It has a lovely picnic area with a climbing frame for when the kids have finished eating. Dogs can have a lovely run about in the big open spaces although their was a distinct lack of places to dispose of dog waste.

Nice easy walks. Great for children to explore. There's a couple of hides for twitchers. It can be a bit breezy as it's fairly open in places.

We take our grand daughter here regularly. There are some lovely walks with interesting bits to catch your eye e.g. the owl gate. Take some apples to feed the stag and the horses.

Whether you want to go for a walk, do some cycling or just take in the nature, this is a great place to go and get away from it all. I've been visiting the park for years now and I just don't get tired of the place.

Ideal area for both walking and running although you needvto be aware of horse riders. The centre is accesible byvroad with ample parking. The visitor centre has children's activities and a cafe with fine view down to the pond. This attractsmany varieties of birds.. Strong footware recommended as most walks are off-road

Went with family and dog for a walk around the park and followed the green route which takes about 15 to 20 minutes. This time of the year its worth wearing walking boots or wellies as it could gets a little muddy in places, however there are good paths to follow. After your walk stop off at the cafe for... More
