Description:

The Denbies Estate, based in Dorking, Surrey, has been family owned and run...

The Denbies Estate, based in Dorking, Surrey, has been family owned and run since 1984. Denbies vineyard was planted in 1986, and since then has become one of the largest wine producers in the UK. Denbies core business is agriculture and we are pleased to be able to offer visitors an insight into wine production in the UK. Denbies wine now competes on an international level, including multiple gold awards for sparkling wine production, the first ever gold for an English rose wine and most recently an international gold for Denbies Noble Harvest Dessert wine. We are honoured over the years to have welcomed several members of the Royal family to the estate, completing the historical connections which date back to Prince Albert in 1851. The Surrey Hills is a beautiful area to live in and while you are visiting do take advantage of the surrounding areas, including 7 miles of public footpath which trail throughout the vineyard. Thank you for visiting Denbies Wine Estate. If you have any questions during your visit, our staff will be very happy to assist you in any matter. We very much hope that you will enjoy your visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our train tour with Geoff yesterday. He was very friendly and informative and went out of his way to be accommodating to us. We really enjoyed our glass of White Downs bubbly too! We nearly made it out without buying anything, but eventually we succumbed to the lovely shop and bought some fresh asparagus, cheeses and cheese... More

Fantastic food, fantastic staff however the vegetables are never done. It is all very well having al dente but really raw potatoes in my salmon salad was not on. I often go with an older group and they all complain about the vegetables. Give your customers what they want and not what the chefs were taught at college. Shame because... More

A amazing horse ride experience for 4 lovely children As we arrived a little early and had to wait a while it might be nice to have a wooden climbing frame to entertain them

Went here for a wedding. Was a great venue. Tour was beautiful - went to the top of the estate. Food was delicious.

Started of with a nice coffee in the large, busy restaurant. Next an informative and amusing tour of the winery, following by a tasting session in the cellar. Next we went up to the Gallery Restaurant for a fantastic lunch - great views across the estate. More coffee, then a tour round the vineyard. Sampled some gin in the farm... More

Denbies winery is a great venue for a visit. An organised tour of the vineyard is on offer, offering splendid views of Surrey. The facility has a good restaurant, cafeteria for afternoon tea, and gift shop. And on top of that, a brewery! There are also miles of public Bridleways for walkers.

We arrived at about 12:00 noon on one of the last days of March only to find that tours only take place at 11:00 until April when there is an afternoon tour as well. Can't say this was immediately obvious from the website which I consulted to check opening hours. Never mind, we'll have to come back. However, we went... More

Came here for lunch having walked the Mole Gap Trail from Leatherhead. A beautiful sunny day so we sat outside for lunch. The dry whites compliment the salads, but cost twice as much in the restaurant than they do in the shop - a VAT issue apparently. All very drinkable table wine at best, although the labels could at least... More

Visited with my wife and two visiting friends. Got a good reduction with Travelzoo and did the wine train tour. This is three carriages pulled by a Land Rover around the paths on this nice wine estate. Very interesting tour with an experienced driver/guide (Geoff) and included a glass of their bubbly wine at the half way point. Back to... More

Met up today with friends for a coffee and chat also to purchase a few gifts or greeting cards. The coffee was simply dreadful .More like dish water. The service was pathetic and so very slow. No customers just the staff talking among themselves. Gift counter again painfully slow and again few customers. What has gone wrong at Denbies once... More
