A quiet walk through woodland and garden with some good distant views. Easy to walk paths for people walking independently. An Italian garden is in process of being renovated. I was in a group of 14 and we booked a guided walk with someone from...More

A great walk with plenty to see, some great views and only a short walk from Dorking town centre. Well worth booking a guided tour, ours included access to the Hope Mausoleum and our guide was fantastic. We did the trail in two hours at...More

Only one negative, the signage could be better as we got a little confused about which way round to go

This is a recently restored trail with lovely gardens, a grotto and a mausoleum. It’s an easy quick walk near town, support by a well developed app with historical information and map.

Hae done this walk in both winter and Spring, and plenty to see both times. The guides really know their stuff, A must do while in this area.

The area has been opened up and made accessible (was very overgrown); now leading to some great views over Sussex Weald and Ranmore. Well worth the trek. Remember to say hello to Leo the lion. A long trek to get to Betchworth Castle and separately...More

Very soon the steps from the garden to the terrace will be open to the public. I counted 115 well worth the effort. The flower beds are being prepared and should be a wonderful sight in the Spring.

I went on the deepdene trail walk on the heritage weekend. Despite a gloomy day our guide made it a very enjoyable trip full of interesting anecdotes and a pleasant stop at Dorking Golf Club at the end for tea and cake.

I went on a heritage open day tour of this lovely area, the guide was informative and had in depth knowledge of the interesting families that owned the estate. The grounds themselves have a maze of walkways through rhododendrons with stunning views from the top...More
