This place is beautiful with its tall trees and open spaces. There are lots of different pathways to head towards, although kids excitedly headed for the wooden play areas which were not far from the car park and could be seen nestled in the woods....More

Reasonably priced car park £3.50 all day. We enjoyed the UFO walk although thought it could do with a little more to keep you interested as you walk round. Even though there were lots of cars on the car park we barely saw anybody walking...More

The trail is 3 miles long so you could easily do it in an hour. But allow for two hours to read all the information panels and to stop and appreciate the beauty of the forest.

You can walk around the forest at all times. But please note that the main car park will be gated off in the evening (8pm in summer).
