Kentwell Hall is a beautiful moated red brick Tudor Manor House in the historic village of Long Melford, Suffolk. Whilst not a stately home, this 'little great house' remains a lived-in and much-loved family home; something it has been for over 500 years. Surrounded by timbered outbuildings, tranquil gardens and a large estate, Kentwell is popular for family days out, weddings, filming and functions and is noted for its special events programme including living history re-creations and the award-winning Scaresville experience.

We went on a bank holiday and everyone was dressed up in traditional dress with traditional food being prepared in the kitchen. Really interesting and fun.

Visited Kentwell in a small group on a recent Sunday not knowing what to expect. The house and gardens greatly exceeded expectations. Kentwell is a typical Tudor house which, since they acquired it in 1971 has been very sensitively restored and improved upon by the...More

What a fabulous and vibrant place! Unlike so many historical properties, time isn't standing still here, so many ongoing projects, modern twists with historical references, the Phillips's are continuing the role of guardians of this stunning and intriguing place, adding their own taste and ideas...More
