Popped in for a quick drink on Friday evening. Tiny place but we managed to get a seat. Bar man and locals were friendly.

My daughter and I stopped in for a quick pint after visiting the Bury open air market. The barman was witty and we enjoyed speaking with the locals. The barman related some of the history of the place and we had a great time. It...More

Whilst on a coach trip staying in Ipswich, we had a day out in Bury. We arrived early and wandered off to find my husband's old Primary School - still there, after nearly 60 years since he left. Our next stop was the Nutshell -...More

Passing The Nutshell on a scorchingly hot day we thought that a refreshing cold drink would be a good idea. Being reputedly the smallest pub in Britain, and with no outside seating area, there being half a dozen people already squashed inside, we had to...More

Ok so it's a must visit for its size as its one of the smallest pubs in Britain. The beers ok too. That's about it really as its dingy with old stuffed cats on display and is very uncomfortable with more than 6 people in...More

Very unusual even though it’s tiny there is so much to see, it’s truly a one off and needs to be visited to truly appreciate it. Hard to describe really but definitely worth visiting
